HISTORY:

The presentation that will be given at the town hall will review the project history and the city's legislative history related to the watershed.

POLICY ISSUES:

The town hall is an opportunity for the public to hear a shorter version of the presentation given by city staff and USFS staff at the May 27, 2025 work session. The City Council will also share their observations and take aways from the two tours taken of active forest management sites led by the USFS staff in July and of the city's watershed in October.

The public will be able to ask questions and share comments with the City Council. The USFS has indicated that they are willing to respond to questions, in letter format, from the city. November 5 regular council meeting agenda will have an active agenda item for the City Council to determine what content will be included in a letter to the USFS.

The public notice for the town hall outlined the agenda/format and included an October 7, 5pm deadline for questions to be submitted if the public wanted those included in the council packet. Those questions/comments are attached. The online form will be available up to the October 14 town hall and those will be provided to council separately.
